ABOUT
I am a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and English with over thirty years’ experience in Head of Department and Senior Management roles. I have taught children ranging in age from three to eighteen, in primary, preparatory and secondary schools. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language, and am a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

Around fifteen years ago, I began tutoring for the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Tests (11+). I firmly believe that a child’s wellbeing must always be at the heart of how we teach and, in my opinion, preparation for the 11+ tests should be an enjoyable, stress-free process. It should provide children with an understanding of the techniques required to tackle the different question types. It must not be about trying to make a child more ‘clever’. All my sessions are tailored to each pupil's individual needs and learning style, and this ensures they have a positive learning experience and can achieve their full potential.
